CONJOINED

In response to C19 and the disappearance of pristine natural landscapes, like so many others sheltering in place I went online searching for an outlet, someplace to ground myself and connect with something larger than myself…and my sequestered experience. I turned to Second Life which advertises ‘Shape Your Reality with Complete Freedom in a Virtual World.’

Within this online (virtual) world users can travel between locations and explore these created places. In my exploration of the parks, natural areas and remote corners I found that I (my online presence) was able to, at times, merge with the landscape giving me a more complex relationship with nature…bending space and suggesting quantum evolution.
